The story focuses on Arjun Rana (Sunny Deol) a powerful & wealthy communist and gangster. His younger brother, Karan (Sohail Khan) falls in love with Bindiya (Nauheed Cyrusi), their step-relative. Karan gives his heart out to Bindiya, however she only likes him as an friend. Bindiya is actually in love with Sahil (John Abraham), an young basketball player who studies in Karan's college. Karan threatens Sahil in front of the whole college to stay away from Bindiya. Sahil is unable to bear the humiliation, and turns to self-harm and attempts suicide. He is then saved by his elder brother Sanju (Suniel Shetty) a poor mechanic and a small-time gangster. Sanju, unaware that Karan is Arjun Rana's brother beats Karan up badly in public and lands him in the hospital. Now Arjun wants Sanju dead and he uses the help of underworld gangsters and police officers.
