Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is an upcoming drama that delves into the glitzy world of Bollywood. It is the first time on Indian Television that a serial solely based on the film industry is being produced.Madhubala (Drishti Dhami) is a girl born into a middle class family in the town of Motihari. Motihari is a rustic town in Bihar, far away from the glitz and glamour of the reel world known as Bollywood. Unlike many other girls of her lineage, Madhubala grows up to be an amazingly beautiful woman. Quite to the contrary of other young girls from small towns, she does not harbor aspirations of becoming a model, actor or a celebrity. She has no such thoughts but perhaps her fate was sealed right at the time of her birth when she came to the world on the sets of a Bollywood film.As destiny would have it, Madhubala is spotted by RK (Vivian Dsena) who happens to be a name of repute in the tinsel town and he launches her. Madhubala becomes a star overnight. Not only is she acknowledged for her mesmerizing looks but also for her ability to shine up on the silver screen. Life quickly takes a detour towards a peak and her fate climbs it with rather ease.
